I am a New Zealander, born in Auckland in 1960. I was brought up mostly in India and Australia, where my father worked as a doctor. I have NZ, Australian and Swiss citizenship, however it is New Zealand that I now call home. I have a 31 year old daughter, who works for the Department of Conservation in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, and sometimes as a wilderness expedition leader.

I have a BA degree (English major) and I am a qualified (CTEFLA) and very experienced English Language teacher. I am happy to teach children, teenagers or adults of any English level. Although I mostly work in this field, from time to time I also take on contracts of various lengths for other types of work, as I enjoy change and new challenges. I am always on the look out for interesting opportunities, either in New Zealand or overseas.

Current Situation

I am currently a seasonal Hut Ranger for the Department of Conservation, Fiordland, employed from mid-September until early May. During the off-season I usually do some ESL teaching.
